Light schedule nessasary??

My light is on a schedule but sometimes I don't feel like having the light on. Or if I leave I am not going to enjoy the tank so can I turn it off and on as I please?? Do fish need a schedule??? Btw our house is very open so we get alot of light inside if that makes a difference

Fish don't NEED a light schedule but fish do enjoy a routine. An example is my wrasse. It knows when to burry itself about 10 minutes before lights out everyday.

If you have coral, I'm hoping you don't yet ;Hilarious, they do require a consistent light schedule.
