People with programmable lights:So, what lighting schedules do you all have? Mixed reef with sps, mushrooms and a pair of clowns.

My led light is fully programmable over the phone, I can adjust each led over every half hour.

Cheers

In the tropics, at the surface, it's 12 hours of daylight a day, pretty much 365 days a year. Variances are very minor.

I think sunrise and sunset take about 30 minutes each from that 12 hours.

I prefer a bell curve, but that's me. Also, I wouldn't put the red over 20%.

Could you give me a rough picture on how you would do it?
Any reason to keep red down? I'm very new to this :) (
Might help if I add that I have 2 green, 2 reds, 24 blue and 18 whites)

If you can, I would turn the reds and greens to zero and tune the blues and whites together how you like them.

If you think a little extra green or a little extra red looks better, OK.....but otherwise leave em at zero and you're set!

Set intensity up or down as needed based on the proportion of colors you end up with.

That's my new schedule. Any things you would adjust? Maybe a bit more blue/less white? For some reason I can't find a lot about this :) I guess most people just manually turn on and off lights?

I did see that my gsp coral closed during the day and started opening by the evening. Don't know if its because of the tank upgrade I did (40->60g) 4 days ago, or if it's because the light would be too bright during the day..:)
