Please help! I am new to this whole process and so far it's been stressful. My question is this. What is the best light settings for 10g tank. I'm going through the last leg of the cycle and look to add coral soon. The light I purchased was a fluval nano marine. My options are pink, cyan, blue, purple and cold white. At which levels should each one be set and from when to when

I know what you you mean about stress I'm still a newbie my self from my experience so far blue light seems to be what corals like the most and white is more for our enjoyment once you add corals I would start with the lights on a low ish setting then slowly ramp up the settings and see how your corals react to the light give the corals chance to a acclimate to the light and see what works best for your set up what corals are you thinking of getting?

Hi

Welcome to Reef2Reef! There is lots of great general info in the lighting forum here on R2R. What type of corals do you hope to keep? It appears that this light has 3 preset spectrum options. It is probably best to start with one of those just for ease of use. There is a pretty good video here that discusses this and also speaks to custom settings. If you want to learn more about custom settings, AI has a pretty good page here. https://www.aquaillumination.com/lightsciences/signature-series . Even though their lights have different specific color options, these settings are useful to see options for the duration of photoperiod and relative settings between colors. There is tons to learn but take it slow and have fun. Hope this helps and good luck!

High blue with low white is my choice and gradually bringing up white to desired intensity

Thanks guys/gals for the info. You will probably see alot more questions in the future from me because I want to do this right. Keeping a reef is an expensive hobby. One that I have fallen in love with. But to answer the question of which corals I want to get first is impossible for me answer and tell you which certain ones. I want them all they are all so beautiful. But I know I need to start with the hardiest and easiest to grow so I'm not let down by a coral that requires advanced reefers like your selves to grown so any suggestions
