I'm having a lot of light spillage in my dining room and the Mrs is not too happy about it. I am running 2x Redsea 160S lights, however I just ordered 2x Hydra 32 lights which I am very looking forward for. Question is:

Do you guys use shades to not allow any light spillage to the room? I get many people coming home when the room lights are off and the blue aquarium lights are just too much for them..

So this reduces the blue spillage to the rest of the room? or just the bright light piercing your eyes when you looking into the tank?

Considering 3d printing it as shipping will be costly. Anyone here has a tried and tested 3d design?

Since I added a second prime to my tank Ive begun getting headaches as my bedroom lights are off and there's just so much blue. I'll have to look into some shades. I don't have a 3D printer so will have to buy some online but never seen any in the UK shops

which light do you have? there's a few files that is free to download. It is also very easy to design and create your own. Tinkercad, blender , sketchup just to name a few cad programs.

much of my time now adays is learning and designing in cad. never too late to learn.
