light shield / curtain for t5 hybrid fixture

I just hung my t5 hybrid fixture over my reef, had been using just LED. Has anyone come up with a nice DIY light shield or curtain to hang around outside edge of fixture to hide the bulbs?
If your standing and looking at the tank, everything is good. However when sitting down and looking toward the tank the sight of the bulbs is very distracting and I believe unhealthy for the eyes. Fixture is hanging 10 inches off top of tank. I would guess anyone using a multi bulb t5 fixture would be experiencing the same thing. In the past I've used a wood canopy over the tank, but do not want to go that route

You could check your par and possibly try lowering the fixture closer to the water line. I run a 6 bulb sunpower roughly 8 inches from water and don’t have an issue.
