Hi everyone! How important is light spectrum for macroalgae? I am using some 4000K and 5000K LED bulbs for my houseplants, and some 3000K LED bulbs on my current freshwater planted tanks; all the plants involved are growing well. I understand that corals prefer something more blue than that, but what about macroalgae? Thanks :)

Following for sure... I know red/blue lights are all the rage for growing Chaeto (à la H80, AI fuge light), but I hate the look of the sump being washed out in pink and it's definitely not a great look for a macro display tank. I'd love to hear more about it.

I know a lot of people who do macros in their display use bulbs in the 6,500K to 10,000K range.
