I have a used setup with a phosban reactor setup with an LED strip. It's using red LEDs and is only power supplied from a usb cable, which is 5V max. My chaeto has slowly died with nitrates in the 5-10 and phosphate around 0.03 range. Is it likely that the light is the wrong color or insufficient to grow chaeto?
If so, is there any consensus on the LED color for chaeto? I've seen 6k, 6500, red and blue hydroponic, etc and nothing about what actually works for most people.
Anyone have a recommendation for a waterproof LED strip that's worked well for them for chaeto?
