Light timers breaking

Last week I discovered that the Lowe's outdoor light time I use for my fuge gets stuck going from off to on, so my fuge had had no light for some unknown amount of time. Defective product, I told myself. But tonight at 11:30 I noticed my QT light was still on. Looks like that one, a completely different brand/model had the same problem.

Is this a thing with light timers around saltwater? Does anyone else have that problem? If not, what brand/models work?

I have a controller for my DT, but I don't want to spend that kind of cash for my fuge and QT.

has been working for me for 4 months now. my biggest issue is that if your power goes out the outlets stay off until you turn them on. The app lets you program schedules for each outlet

They may be listening; but I don't think I am interesting enough for anyone to care

The outlets themselves can't listen in, they do not have microphones in them and you do not need Google hub or alexa (whatever they are called) to control them. Teckin has an app that works directly with the outlets with no voice control...

I'm still not crazy about my phone being the only control plane or it being internet connected. Looks like I can control some smart plugs via raspberry pi or their built-in website, but they're $45/ea. It seems like for that I could get a good quality dumb timer that won't break with saltwater, which is what I really want -- simplicity.

So does anyone use dumb timers? Do they break on you?

I am using 5 of these. My 2 MH/T5 fixtures have a total of 10 cords. They have worked for more than a year now. The clocks do slowly go out of sync and need corrected every few months.
They are in my stand. There is nothing wet in there. All the wet stuff is in the fish room.

You can pick up cheap apex classic for a nice price that’s what I did for my coral qt.

Currently using two of these. Been a couple months and working just fine. They are nice because you can run two separate timers/devices per unit.
