Light upgrade question

This year I'm upgrading my lights, I have a standard 150 gal tank 72" x 18" x 28" would kessil a360 be a good choice for a tank this size ? I have a mixed tank sps dominant. The shimmer is amazing but would this light be good for sps corals ? I k ow you guys out there have kessil how is the color ? and growth ? Or would the ap700 be better ?

You would need around 3 of the kessils but they will definitely be able to grow anything You want. You could also look at the AI hydras

I was figuring on 3 kessils dont know much about hydras , would hydras be able to penetrate to the bottomed of a standard 150 tank?

Definitely and they are cheaper but still quality lights, David saxby uses them on his 3,000 gallon reef tank and I believe the Red Sea reefers come with them.

Would you recommend the ap700 or the a360 ?

I like the new 360x. The Kessil shimmer is awesome and they are a piece of cake to set up and adjust with the Kessil controller. 3 units will get you started but if you are going more SPS dominant then 5 or 6 might be needed. The aquatic life T5 hybrid will be mentioned numerous times I'm sure as well.
