good evening all,
I decided to upgrade my lighting system. I am going from the stock JBJ 28gal nano Intermediate with 24-1watt 14k bulbs to the sBox pro by SB Reef Lights. The lights should be to me the beginning of next week and I was wondering what is the best way for acclimation. I currently have a mixed reef. I was thinking of attempting to start my "white" channel off at about 30% to match the current wattage.

Not sure if that makes sense???

Honestly not sure if I need to ever go higher with whites?

Should I start lower with whites to compensate for the addition of the "blue" channel??

What should I start my "blue" channel off as?? Any suggestions?

I do not have a PAR meter.

Nope the watts wont matter.(lenses) I had the intermediate. You get about 30,000 lux at the water. with those lights.
Set the color ratio for the peak lighting in sunny mode(is your ramping?) by eye. Its actually pretty blue imo.
25% or sshould be good depending on how high over the tank it is.

If you get a $15 lux meter you can do this.https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/lighting-upgrade-with-a-lux-meter-saltyfilmfolks.248417/
And start at 20,000 lux. The SB does have more Par/pur.

BTW you are going to be SOOO happy with the new light!

It is not ramping. But with the times I saw a video where I can have one channel go on before the second channel to give it a somewhat ramping effect.
