Ok, first off, I am making a single spotlight. I found this bad boy and bought it: New 300LM Lumens 5W Zoom CREE Q3 LED Head waterproof FlashLight TORCH Headlamp | eBay

HOLY COW IS THIS BRIGHT!!! unfortunately it takes 3 AAA batteries.

I got it for $0.99 which is cheaper than the led itself. Thanks china.

Anyways, I was wondering if somebody could help me figure out a way to wire this up.

I want the light to be powered along with a standard computer fan by the same power source.
Assembling and all that won't be an issue, as I am quite the handyman, until it comes to wiring...just don't want to blow myself up. The batteries are rechargeable, So i Have gotten a feel for how it will look.

If possible I would like to be able to simple attach the power to the battery wires..but then I have to figure the voltage for the fan. so yea, any help will be greatly appreciated. THANKS ALOT!!!

Btw, if you can order a but ton of these spotlights, that could save a ton on LEDS. They are 5 watts...When I point them at the jellyfish it pulses 2x as fast. I don't have a light meter or anything, but I do feel it appreciates that extra beam.

Is a 4.5volt power adapter fine to use in place of 3 AAA batteries? Also I have a 12 volt for the fan...seem fine to you people with the electronics knowledge?

Yes, that would work as long as you are putting the 4.5v to the same leads as the batteries did, it will work just fine. Same for the fan, 12v is all you need.
