Light

For a mixed reef I would say 2-3 orphek bars depending on the corals you are keeping for a high quality but still reasonably priced light. But knowing budget is key as well as what corals you plan to keep

Is there a light I can get for all corals bc I don't know what corals I want so I'd rather have a good one that will work for all lol idk I'm new and I want to only buy lights one time for whatever I get

Orpheks will work as well as the new chihiros light that just came out, new so not many reviews yet but they are a top notch freshwater led maker and used ecotech radions design to make there light. Here are a few links

Tha k you so much

the chihiros are also in intro pricing for around half off, you will need 2

they are more of the risky one in terms of app control i will definitely say as I havent seen any info on the control as of yet

orpheks are bar lights that cover the length of the tank with no control (although they have said individual dimmers are coming for the past 3 years so idk). You just set them and leave them on a basic outlet timer or smart outlet
Both fixtures will need mounting as well so take that into account

For my 40 breeder, I purchased a Reefbreeder light and have been happy with it.
these lights are trusted too, especially the newer ones it seems. Friends of mine with units from 4-7 years ago had some problems with bulbs randomly blowing. They do not have my favorite light separation or shimmer though IMO.

Also I should add I aim for a more white then blue tank and have preferred t5 led bar combo for awhile but those chihiros lights have even tempted me to switch at that price. Ecotech is really gold standard but the price is really unreasonable now to justify buying IMO
