Hello everyone. I am new to saltwater aquariums and have been keeping freshwater tanks for a few years. Currently, I have 2 freshwater 5-gallon tanks and a 16-gallon reef tank set up. I wanted to ask since they are all on the same stand if it will be a problem for the light of the freshwater tank to be diffused to the reef tank or if should i separate them.

As long as they are on the same cycle it should really cause a huge issue.


People have natural light hitting their tanks all the time.

In that area you may get some extra growth of algea due to the extra white light but in reality unless the light is pretty stong and fresh water usaly aren't like saltwater lights...it probably won't make a difference.

Yes, they will be on the same cycle and they are not that powerful no.
