So this ancient lightbulb on my grandma’s property blew up and well it kinda gave me an idea. I love the idea of microscopic reefs, so I was thinking about sawing off the bulb and drilling a hole in the bottom for an air hose and gluing a rubber gasket inside to seal the water in. My biggest concerns (after the two possible points of shattering the thing modifying it) is light and changing the air stone . I’m just thinking some cheap zoas on some small rubble around the air hose. So for light I found these neat LED tea lights on Amazon. The issue is they’re battery operated and I really don’t want to spend the money putting in a new battery every few days my questions are
1: does anyone have know anything about converting battery to AC power
2: any advice on tools to manipulate objects through a MAYBE 1 1/4” hole

That bulb is probably a sodium or mercury vapor bulb. Those are some very toxic chemicals and I wouldn't 1) want to open it up or 2) put anything inside of it.
Toxicity issues aside, how would you be controlling the temperature of the "tank"? Lots of questions on this one.

… I didn’t even think of the bulb type. Oh well. As for temp because my grandma lives with us (she can’t care for her property anymore and our house is bigger) we keep our “room temp” tropical (she gets cold easily) but the chemicals aren’t worth risking sooo… in the garbage it goes.
