I currently have a reefer 350, with 2x 30xr Gen 4 Pros. We're moving to a new house, and new house = new tank lol.
I'm a fan of shallow height, deep front to back tanks. I'm looking at the IM Nuvo 150, dims are roughly 48x36x19.
What can I do to get the front to back coverage? Im thinking either (3) 30xrs, and running them the short way across the tank, or alternatively, retrofit (4) t5s running the lenth of the tank, 2 in the front, 2 in the back. Thoughts?

I have the IM 110 INT and I use the Giesemann Stellar T5 with Radions. Perfect coverage for a 36x36 tank. The side brackets on the Giesemann are wider than other Hybrid T5 set ups. So this allows for more coverage.

I had that exact tank dimensions and ran (2) different type of lights
1. (3) Orphek Atlantik ran from front to back (led)
2. 8 bulb ATI power module.
I got better results with the ATI and it was less expensive.

You will likely need two rows of Radions. Some others can work front/back. If you only plan on having corals under 24" of that 36, then one row might be OK.

If just Radions and you're talking about new lights, I would likely get 6 of the new G5 XR 15s rather than 3 XR30s. Taking your existing lights and supplementing with T5s would work great as well and be significantly less expensive. I run 3 G2 pros the long way across a 180 but I 4 5 foot T5s to supplement (simple BRS retrofit kits since I built my tank into a 'fish closet' and don't need to worry about appearance). Adding T5s greatly improved my level of success with acros. With pre G5 Radions, hanging them high can cure a lot of 'spotlight' problems, evening out the light was well.

I'm following along here. I am planning a tank that is 72" long x 30" front to back. I am getting back into the hobby after a long layoff, before LEDs were even a thing. I am completely overwhelmed with the LED options out there and really need to figure this out.

I have not decided on a stocking list yet. I've kept mixed reefs in the past but I do like the idea of acros and monti caps so I want to keep my options open.
