I need help deciding what lighting to use for my new 5 foot reef. I am thinking AI Primes - How many would I need to cover the spread of a 5 foot thank thats 18 inches deep? I know they have a spread of 24inches so would 2 be enough or do I need 3?

Also what are some other options rather than the AI primes?

Most LED fixtures seem to cover 18-24", so I think you'd need 3 to cover all 5 feet. If you go with 2, you'll have a little bit of low light area. That might be handy if you want to keep some lower light stuff.

I have a 5 ft tank and I have the same setup with excellent coverage. I’m very happy with my lights.

i have the 6 ft version on my 6ft reef, but have been having trouble dialing in settings, what you guys running at?

Is there a centre brace where the 3rd centre light would have a shadow below it ?
