I have a 6 month 90 gallon 4’ long mostly lps and softy reef tank with a branching Monty and 2 other sps frags. Right now I am running a single Radion xr 30 g3 pro with tlr lenses at 90% peak and about 10-12” over the water. I decided to buy a 36” 8 bulb ATI sunpower. It will have 5 blue plus 2 coral plus and a purple plus as recommended on the ATI site. Can anyone offer me advice as how to acclimate my tank tomthis light? How high over the tank should I start. I read lowering 1" a week is a good way to go, just not sure at what height to start. Any other acclimation advice would be appreciated.

I too just purchased a 8-bulb 60", but my tank is 6'X2'X2'
It's mounted 10-12" above water, it's a lot of light, I have a lot of LPS and softies, but got this light for the Acros I was killing, LEDs weren't strong enough.
First week, only the blues, you have two plugs for that reason
Week 2, running lights 10 hrs, blues, with 1 hour of full lights
Week 3, I increased full lights to two hours
I'm up to 5 hrs/ day with full lights
My coral extension is amazing, all corals are very happy
It's the best thing I've done to improve coral growth
Be sure to watch your Alkalinity and Ca levels, I have doubled my 2- part solutions
