Ok first thank you to everyone who responses to these post and help us noobs out.

So I have a 90 gallon tank, and 4 bulb t5 high output with 3 ati blue plus and one purple, and one of these http://roleadro.net/LED-Grow-Light-Strips/108W-LED-Aquarium-Light-Blue-and-White-L.html

Questions

I need to replace my t5 bulbs, could I go with all blue since the led is full spectrum?

What is a inexpensive moonlight or will running 2 of my t5 blue give me a moonlight effect.

Also light height?

The term “full spectrum “ can misleading. Any light containing some of each color is full spectrum.

An ati coral plus is one t5 example.

Corals don’t need a lot of the rest of the spectrum reallly. Just a little kiss of red (not to go too deep) some green is being researched. The rest of the spectrum just add just add some visual appeal to the tank. How much is personal preference.
Basic of what corals want and why/where.

One of the popular combos is two blue plus one coral plus and a purple plus for this reason.
So yes , your Led now is probaly doing the same.

When I had t5 , I found the old model current orbit Marie led (no lenses) and used those. It’s super flat and a couple in wide. Not a lot of power but great blue pop.

How deep is the tank ?
Just for. heat and ease I’d mount the t5 10-12 inches or so. Keeps the water cooler , avoids electricity in the tank from inductance and doesn’t lose too much par intensity.

My tank is 24 inches deep, thank you for the good info[emoji2]

It’s actully a pretty high amount of Light. Not sure what the led adds. But sould work great for most coral.
I got the led because someone told me a 4 bulb was not enough light for 90 gallons and have read that a t5 and led combo works well. Thank you for the help.
