So these are my bambam's

These are a little higher in my 22g finnex under 130w 6700K/10,000K and 460/420nm PC's

All lamps are Sunpac's and recently replaced..... so it looks like I have too much lighting in the 22g? a lot of my frags in it look more washed out....
I have all of the zoa's in my 125g under a current outer orbit with 3 150w 14K HQI's, 2 96w 450/420 pc's and 2 96w 50/50 pc's...and the colors compare to the 29g and some are much better....
the 22finnex is the only one that I have more washed out colors.... I just moved some frags to my other tanks to see if the colors come back

How long did you aclimate them to the new lighting? It may not be a matter of too much light - but rather too quick of a change and they are burining up.

well since both tanks had 130w pc I didn't think it would make a big difference but I did start them low....... they are all growing but the new polyps have the same faded look to them also....

so I used some window screen between the tank and lights..... I'm not going to change the lighting schedule...... two pieces of screen has dimmed it down about half.... I think I'll leave it like that for a week and then remove one layer.... and see how they look

I had my bam bams under a 250w 14k MH pendant in my 29gal. I had the zoas placed about 6" under the water level and probably 20" from the light. They kept their color well there.

I have two slightly different types of bam bams, the ones with the light ring dividing the orange and dark ring seem to be able to take a little more light. The ones that are solid orange with just the dark ring bleached rather quickly when they received more light. They also seem to be about the most finicky and slowest growing zoanthid I have (save for Cat Eyes).

I bought 8 zoo frags about 2 weeks ago from my lfs store, there are 5 oranges on a little rock that look like those. Mine aren't bleached looking though they are very bright. I've been trying to find out the name of them & the one I keep coming up with is bam-bams, I thought those had pink centers though?
