Asking for suggestions for lighting. The options are kind numbing especially if your new to this and don't know what any of it means. Tank is 36 gal now front, tall. Livestock only for now but I'd like to add coral later. Please suggest the most inexpensive route under $200. Prefer closer to$100.
2ed: What wave producers would you recommend. Gals per minute wise. Was told I need two 555s. Please advise

In our nano 30g we started off with the following lighting:
Kessil A80 over a softie/euphyilla dominate tank had I known more at the time I probably would have purchased an AI16

For flow, we used a Hydor Koralia 1500gph and we found a used Ecotech MP10qd for $100. Jaebo is the other brand I would mention/recommend for going on the cheap... I have a SLW20 wavemaker and I love it! It comes with a controller to adjust the flow. You will find that jaebo stuff is cheaply made so don't expect the highest quality or customer service from them, but they do get the job done. As long as you maintain your gear you should be fine.

I'd recommend you look for a used AI and Ecotech stuff on here, you can get some good used stuff, just make sure the person selling answers your questions, is willing to send pictures and has a fairly high posting for content.

Hope that helps, let me know if you have specific questions.
