Lighting Change

So....I just changed my lighting from PC to MH. I did a 3x250w DE fixture with 20k XM bulbs and I have the lights sitting about 8 inchs off the water.

Should I acclimate the light with some screen? If so, how long? and how many layers should I start with?

YES acclimate!! I would use multiple layers of window screen from Lowes or Home Depot and take about 5-7 days to get to full strength.

Cool, I'll buy enough screen to put 4 maybe 5 layers down. Taking one off every couple days should be good enough?

That should be good....I would do it slowly that is a major change and the par from the new MH will be intense compared to the old PC bulb.

Got the screen and everything is looking good. Im so glad to get rid of these dang PC's, now I can sit back and really enjoy. Thanks for the help
