lighting color question

Has anyone use to the purple plus or Fiji purple lights as supplementation? Has it been worth it in bringing out reds and such? I'm thinking about adding these to my 180.

I don't have any personal experience with it but from research it sounds like more people are trying full spectrum LED set ups with great success. I don't see how red could do harm unless it's too much and starts algae growth.

Yup, It will give all the Reds Oranges a real Pop I only have Exp with the Fiji Purple though.

I built a red green and blue accent light, and it really pops the reds, pinks, etc. definitely more efficient over T-5s

I added a fiji purple to my setup a while back and it did brink out the pink, red, and purples. On the other hand, I am switching to LED's now.

Yea if ur using t5 a fiji or purple plus bulb bring in nice colors. Purples are considered a daylight bulb. If u running 4 bulb use ati bulbs 2 blue plus 1 purple 1 aquablue special. 6 bulb add 1 more aquablue and blueplus. 8 bulb add anothed purple and blue plus. 10 bulb add blueplus and aquablue. These combo of bulbs will give great color and growth gives about that 20k look.

I agree completely, the lights with the different colors look the best IMO.

Right now I'm running 3 250 watt MH and ATI Blue Plus for supplementation. I had one of the first generation LED fixtures and had some trouble so it scared me off of LED for a while. I've run T-5s on this 180 before but did not get the PAR I was hoping for so that's why I'm back to MH. But now it looks like a need to add height to my canopy for the MH.

I agree with bill.
But if your running MH. I would add 2or more blue bulbs to get that blue light color for sunrise and set.

I think it's cool all these lighting question this my field but mostly plants. Lol
