Hello all,

I have a dilemma when it comes to setting up my next tank and lighting selection. The tank is a 48x24x16 rimless 80gallon shallow reef. Will be a mixed reef with a desire for a lot of sps. thinking a wide selection of montis and some acros. I prefer Montis in form, but a acros for color.

I have the following lights available to place on this tank and would like some opinions as to which ones to use and which to keep for a frag tank or sell to buy more coral.
1 x Radion Gen 1
1x Kessil A360we
1 x Ai prime HD
1 x AI prime non HD
1 x Kessil A150

I was thinking Kessil 360 and Radion with one or two ai prime for color tuning and dawn dusk effect.

how would you lay out lighting given these available fixtures? I would entertain selling some of the lights to buy either another Radion or Kessil 360 too

thanks for the help.

I ran Kessils for years. I loved the lights but never got the best SPS growth out of them. Additionally they caused a lot of shading. I just switched to Reefbreeders V2+ LED lights and LOVE IT. Coral color and growth has dramatically increased. Plus, it can put out very intense light and has multiple channels for optimal color blending. I’d sell some of the lights to fund a 48” Reefbreeders. You will not regret it. You can find them on the BRS website and Reefbreeders website.
