So I have a marine land 36 inch led light strip and a Fluval pro led light strip not 36 inches tho the smaller one then that. If the fluval was 36 inches I'd say it be fine but I don't know if it is enough lighting. Can you guys tell me what I can use for this

What are the dimensions of your 60 gallon? Is this one of those "extra-tall 55 Gallon" tanks I've seen somewhere?

Do you have any budget to spend at all? Is selling one or both of these lights an option? How do you feel about DIY?

Yea those may work to get you going. You'll def want to up grade. Those nems will want an up grade for sure. That need Todd light.

I'm not 100% sure of the spec on those but I'd guess that you'll want to turn them all the way up and keep them on for about ten hours. If one of them ramps you could add an hour or so of blue only on top of that.

How long have they been on the tank. What's settings are you using and how long.

I think it's the extra tall 55 probably but it's defiantly wider then a 55 I could do DIY I'll probably try and sell both don't know how tho price isn't really a huge issue

What are the actual dimensions then?

If it's got the same footprint as a 55 (which is 48" x 12") then you can do a very easy and very simply DIY using prefabricated gu10-based LED bulbs. A solid row of 23 will light a tank with that footprint and bulbs cost between $1.50 and $7.50 a piece – or from $35 to $172 for the fixture, depending on the exact bulbs you pick. I'd start with the cheapest ones and go from there. If you google a bit or search on youtube you'll find folks that've been using these....might get some ideas for your DIY. Mostly what you need to come up with is a way to mount the gu10 sockets. They're little pre-wired ceramic disks about 1" in diameter that have two mounting holes, so not hard to deal with. Can be as simple or elaborate as you want.

That light is a basic on and off type of light. That's it. I used one on my refugium the 24" version and it worked great. I think its good for low level light conditions but the water evaporation killed it after about a year. Yeah if that is a really tall tank you are probably going to need more light to get good growth and keep everything happy.
