Hey guys I bought 2 60" odyssea T5 light fixtures. I have a freshwater and a marine setup. The fixtures are rated for 4x80w so 320w total. So I ordered 3 blue plus and 1 purple plus bulb for my marine setup and 2 6500k and 2 80W Korallen-Zucht Coral Lights. I received the 2 80w korallen and 2 6500k bulbs first so I put the into the fixture in pairs not alternating. After a few mins I started smelling burning and the 2 holders that were holding the korallen lights were no longer working. The 6500k lights were fine. So my question is why are these korallen lights blowing the fixture but not the 6500k when they are all rated at 80w. Also when I receive the blue and purple plus lights for my marine setup using the same fixture do you think they will blow it too? Is there a way to strengthen this fixture? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks
