I am currently using a black box light on my 20g tall reef tank and would like to switch to ai primes. Would 1 ai prime work or should I do 2?

A 20 long has a small footprint comparatively speaking, If you're super worried about coverage you can just raise the light, and increase intensity as you do that.

Okay, my tank is lps dominated, I do have a montipora tho but that is in the top third of the tank. But all in all one would be perfect? And of course one on my 10g nano or should I get a smaller light for a 10g

I have a little 12 gal JBJ. It's ancient but I snuck a little HIPARGERO Knight LED in there and even that thing is over kill. I literally just switched from a 20 tall to a 90 cube. That Hipargero was doing well there as well. Unless you have money burning a hole in your pocket one of those primes on a 10 gal would be silly.

Anyone else have input on one ai prime on a 20g? Or what is the max size for 1 prime
I have a prime on a 5 gal and 3 gal, 5gal is lps and the 3 gal is just starting with sps, I like em. So I know it's been a couple weeks but my advice would be get one and see if the coverage works for you and worst case you can add a second, but I'm thinking one should be fine for you u less you start throwing acros all over the place
