I’m wondering what lights to get for my 75 gallon reef tank. I plan on keeping mostly softies and LPS. I’ll probably add some SPS later though. I haven’t read great things about customer service and reliability with ai primes but I like the cost and adjustability. What are your experiences with ai? Also, what other lights can you recommend with great reliability and customer service that won’t break the bank? Thanks.

Reefbreeders Photon V2 48, would be great for sps down the road and also great for just lps and softies for now.
I second this! I actually have the Photon V1 on my 75 gallon. Only ended up with the 32" because the 48" was sold out and I grow everything from softies to acros. 48" would still be ideal, but if you were looking to save a few bucks, you could get by with the 32" for sure. Will just be lower par on the ends. BRS actually carries them now also.

You could light a 75 gallon with AI Primes. Keep in mind that those lights have a recommended max spread of 18x18, so you would probably need about 4 units to cover everything well.

People do like the reefbreeders. 'Black Boxes' of some type is another option, and that would be the cheapest. Noopsyche would be a good middle of the road option that wouldn't break the bank.

I'm a T5 guy, so I would just do that.

Good luck.

I use the maxspect 300w led over my 75 gal. I love the look of it.

I really like the OceanRevive T247 lights. They are reliable, have good functionality, and are more than enough to keep SPS. They are only around 200$ each. The biggest trouble with them is that they are Chinese made so I am not sure how great the customer service is, but I have never had to call.

I have two OceanRevives over my 90 gallon

Would agree here, t5 guy as well and just so easy!

You can most definitely get by with 3 primes for LPS and softies. AI customer support was great in my experience... They replaced a malfunctioning light with no question and sent a free mount for the trouble.

I just switched from AI to reefbreeders. Very happy with the photon but I absolutely miss the easy control with the AI app.
