ive had them for over 6 months. How long have you had the coral? It takes time for coral to start growing. After several months, my lps/softies are growing just fine under a Fluval light.

I've been thinking the same thing. Currently running x2 fluval marine 3.0 straps on my 32g but thinking of going with a clear lid from kraken reef and x2 blades grow lights. Anyone chime in on this pls![]()
AI blade lights on fluval 32.5
Good morning everyone! I've been thinking of upgrading my fluval stock light to maybe 1 or 2 AI blade lights. Does anyone have any experience with doing this? I'd love to to fight them under the hood but idk if that can be done. I'm mostly looking to grow corals faster and more color to look at...www.reef2reef.com

Im considering a kraken reef one they're just a bit pricey.Good choice
Just an FYI you might have some trouble figuring out a lid for the aquarium. Let me know what you decide to use for it because I have been struggling to find a lid that works
do you happen to have a tank pic?I added two AI Prime 16 HD LEDs over top of mine and they work GREAT! I have seen fantastic growth from my corals

that looks amazing!I am just finishing my new hood, which mounts 3 Orphek OR3 60 LED bars. I tested them and the difference between how the corals looked under the Fluval lights (I had two) and the Orphek’s is significant. The second photo is the old lights. The top is the new lights, just turned up 25% with no adjustments.![]()

They definitely make the colors pop more and yes, fluoresce in the light. I will send the picture tomorrow when the lights are on full. Another great thing about them is that its all controlled by an app that it SUPER easy to use and when you have two you can combine them so they have the exact same schedule.do they fluoresce in the light? that's one thing I know i want as well.

I think the OP is going AI, not Orphek. If you like the color pop from Orphek, then reefi lab uno 2.0 will floor you. IMO a much better light for half the price. Reefi-lab.com
June 25 photo, Started Salt in February this year, so tank is fairly new. I run 3 Reefi-Lab uno 2.0 hung 12 inches above water line on top of this 8foot long 300g tank with the 120 degree reflectors.I think the OP is going AI, not Orphek.
I considered the uno 2.0 myself, but felt it would not fit well under my hood So I used 3 OR3 bars and their new controller. It cost more than the Uno, but not double and they fit well in the available space and provide excellent coverage.
