I am setting up a 10 gal holding tank to keep some frags in for a month or two until my 125 is set up. I have been buying corals for my 36 and relized I have too many. :) I got the addiction!

My question is about lighting. Since I have a mix of lps & some sps which would be the best option for a 10 gallon:

18" LED with 10 LED's - 3w each (7 10,000K & 3 actinic 460nm) 1700 lumens.

or

T5ho dual 36 total watts (18w 10,000k & 18w actinic)

You could go with ether one. I guess it kinda depends on the budget. :)

There is not much difference as far as cost between the two. I just didn't know if the 2 options would work for corals on a 10 gallon. I'm going to have to put a branching monti, birdsnest, and a couple lps.

I'm just using it for holding for now but thinking about keeping it to keep frags out of the dt. Want to make sure lightning will be sufficient.
