Ive had this tank set up for the past few months with a simple blackbox and I really want to upgrade my light and I'm deciding between a first generation reefbreeder photon and the sb reef light basic 16' I want to get into some acros but as of now I mostly have zoas, lps, and some varieties of montipora. Looking for someone to help me out on deciding based on there own experiences with these lights.
Thanks!

I just set one up for zoas, acans, favias, and a handful of montis, stylos, milles, etc.. I grabbed a pair of Kessil A80's and so far im really happy with the setup.

It’s all about the budget.
The B.B. grow coral just fine. But the timers and ramps are def worth the money.

I’m an SB fan, but if the photon has bells and whistles I’d go for that.

Thanks I’ve heard great things about both but it’s really deciding to get an older model with more controllability or a brand new model with little to no controlability

I’m also running a pair of A80’s. I’ve also got a Current Marine Loop IC I was using for a while, it’s for sale lol it really depends on the coral you plan to keep.

I wound up going with a used hydra 26 non hd now I need to figure out a way to control it. If I purchase an apex junior would I be able to control the lights without purchasing any other accessories
