lighting for magicians

what is the best lighting for magician palys to get the full speckles on them..
this is what mine look like right now... they are on my nano tank with PC lighting, my DT has much higher lighting, I will be fraggin these soon and moving the frag to my DT, high light low light what is the scoop?

they have lots of speckles in the center but not so much going out to the skirt...

I have 400 watt metal halides and I put mine on the bottom of the tank under a rock in the shade and they are doing great. When they open up they are about the size of a dime. The specks on mine look pretty blue also. Yours look pretty good though, Im sure they will look even better in the display with better lights

i have mine bottom of the tank as well,i have 150w mh....mine has long stalks and are nickel size...my friend has a frag that came from me...her lighting is 250w mh and have it high up in the tank and hers is about dime size but short stalks..smaller than mine...but hers are more colorful(reddish) than mine....

I got a 3 polyp frag that was doing great mid tank, but then fell, so i tried top of rock just for the heck of it and they didn't open, then i saw this thread and moved them to the bottom...

I've had a 3 polyp frag since Macna, it sprouted a new polyp the other day... right now its in my nano tank with PC lights doing well.. nice color.. once I get a couple more polyps will frag it and move it to my main tank with T5 lighting see what it does there!!!

high light works great for me.. They turn bright red and the blue speckles really pops when i moved them up 2 month ago

Yes they do theyre always looking healthy and fluffed out so far, but im going to keep a small frag in low light to see how that does.

Mine are at the bottom of my tank in direct light, tank is 34 inches deep with 250 watt radiums.
