I have a 110 gallon that is 30 high. I have 2 large rocks in it. I need a light that will be able to grow corals to the sand bed.

My budget is not very high. But I really want to eliminate as many shadows as possible. Possibly a moonlight and daylight cycle. Maybe dimmable if possible.

I would check the used section for a t5 fixture with Led moon lights or a used led fixture.

If you want to grow corals to the sand bed, metal halide is the way to go. A used ATI t5 fixture may work as well.

Mh, T5, or Led's will grow corals to the sand.

Which LEDs give 100 par through 30" of water? I was under the impression that even Radeons couldn't pull that off.

I have ghl mitras on my aquarium and I have no problems with corals in the sand and clams. I have used both MH and Led's on the display which is that deep.... 29" to the bottom of the aquarium from the top. I have seen a few pics of Radeon aquariums and they didn't seem like they were having any issues either. I"m sure AI's would be fine as well. I think there is a some mis information out there.

Now I have never owned a PAR meter so I don't know what my MH's did at the sand nor my Led's.....so I cant comment on the PAR levels.
