Lighting for my Hindu Shrine...

Like to light my Marineland Portrait in Hindu shrine for softees, etc...its only 5 gallons...if something would go into this leaded glass shade it would be cool...other suggestions with reasonable $$ would also be welcome...

Kessil a160we would fit perfect under that and easy to DIY

The reason I suggest the a160we because the 80 is old model and I never own one so I don't know how physical the item look.
I'm assume that your glass shrine has a hole on top part, then you can easy put the 160 power wire through that top part.
Google the kessil 160 and 80 then you can see, or have an idea how they can be fit into your shrine, your interior designer mind should have more idea to get thing done and it's nothing related to any technicals issue either.

A par 38 bulb would fit and use the same parts as a desk lamp.

You could look for a used kessil too.

You'd probably get more glow in the shade glass with the par 38.

One option would be a cheap workshop reflector light from the hardware store.



Unscrew the reflector (it comes off) and you should be able to drop it in through the top or thread it through the bottom of your "fixture" and mount any medium base reef lamp.

You would have to contact the store and ask for a custom blue+white emitter layout. I've done this more than once and had no problem getting it, but it's possible that not every vendor would be capable.

Either 2 blue and 1 white or 2 white and 1 blue would be acceptable. I'd go with a neutral or warm white if you do 2 blues. I'd go with a very cool white if you choose 2 whites and only one blue.
