Just moved everything from a 35g bowfront to a 75g bowfront, and have taken the 4-bulb, 36" t-5 lighting and moved it over this new 48" tank. I have a 4-bulb T-5 48" canopy fixture I could move over this new set up instead of the 36", but am wondering if there are other options.

I am not super happy with the evening lighting I get, even when I turn off the two whites and run only the two blues. I am wondering if there are some sort of different lights I could add to either side of the current 36" fixture, to add better, prettier evening color. I could then redo the mixture of lights in the current fixture and run in only in the day hours.

Any thoughts? Here is a pic.

Add a simple led strip to ramp up and down in the morning and evening.
You can pick up the first version current orbit (no lens) pretty cheap now. I have one. There others avail too. It's two or three in wide and half in thick.
Works like a stunner strip too and adds some nice shimmer and keeps the t5 awaimeness.

Thanks Salty. Can you give me an example of what you mean by "first version current orbit (no lens)" and "stunner strip"?
