I'm looking to set up a handful of 2L (or similar) nannochloropsis cultures. I'm looking at cheaper LED grow lights on amazon and am wondering what is actually needed for this project.

The lights are listed by "wattage equivalency" which in basically all cases is meaningless, but I'll be using those to describe the lights for simplicity.

I'm considering the following:
One very strong 600W light.
Two medium strong 300W lights.
Or a handful of weaker, but also larger spread, 75W lights

I'll also be using some sort of reflector box to help with spread and evenness.

You don’t need strong light for phyto but is best if the colour temperature is about 6000k

These are the purple type of grow lights. I'll double check some of the papers I was reading, but iirc these were hitting the two most important absorption peaks.

The full spectrum don’t really do well on phytoplankton am afraid
