Hi all,

Recently decided (due to old equipment faliure) that im going to upgrade my lighinting system. At this point Ive decided on making my own "custom" lighting unit using metal halide pendants and t5 retros etc instead of buying a complete multi light fixture. Im trying to find the name of the metal or aluminum frame tubing that ive seen people use to build their own lighting frame. Its like a hollow metal tube you cut and can push different elbows and "T"s in to make your own rigid frame to your specific use. Anyone know what I'm talking about? what's the name? where can I get my hands on some of this stuff? Help me :)

Metal conduit that's what I'm gonna do as well.

I used standard metal conduit as well. I got it at home depot and threw in some hammered metal paint and some plastic furniture caps. I had considered some square aluminum tubing and connectors like the stuff at www dot eztube dot com, but just liked the curve idea better.

thanks! havent seen that metal conduit before its a neat option. The stuff i was thinking of was that eztube that you mentioned JSB. I think im going to go with that beacause im going to make a wood frame to go around it that matches the wood my grandfather used to build my aquarium stand, going to make a "paux canopy" that i can hang from the ceiling. Now somehow i just have to figure the amount of tubing and connectors i will need to build my pendants and retro t5's into...not sure how but i guess thats my next task!
