My 6 foot 150 is up and running. I'm going without lights for a few months trying to avoid the ugly stage. In the meantime I'm deciding what lighting system to use. What would the experts use with a budget of 800 to light a 6 foot mixed reef?

The best results Ive seen were with t5 led hybrids. To light a 6 foot tank can get expensive, I would look for used radions, I've seen gen 3 pros go for cheap. You may have to go slightly above your budget. You can also go full t5s but you would have to constantly change out your bulbs which can get expensive in the long run. Im definitely not an expert but Ive been reefing for a very long time. How wide and high is the tank?

So my thinking is 3 AI primes. BRS Videos say 1 per 2x2 square for lps. So 3 to start with, then add more as budget allows. Is this reasonable?
