Lighting help please!!!

Im so lost here! I have a PC bulb that i just got a new end cap for and i got it wired up and when i try to turn it on about 1/6th of the light comes on then goes right back off.. WHY?! I switched all the wires around and it won't even light then.. I flip the bulb around to switch the pins and it does the same thing :cry: :cry: :cry: what am i doing wrong?! I even tried to just get some of my wire connectors and hard wire my old bulb and it did the same thing? Is my ballast bad? If so why would it fire at all?

Its a brand new bulb.. ill try another 1 tho.. If the bulb was bad would it even try to light?

Sounds a lot like you might have a bad connection in one of your wires, or a bad socket.
