I retrofitted all my LED light boxes by resoldering only 420nm and 460nm diodes....which is very very bright 420-460 actinic blue light....reasoning this is the exact light spectrum zoas feed on.

I have taken all 10k to 20k white light out of the equation.....

Am i missing out on max growth only concentrating on only the 420-460 spectrum?

Probably. If you take a look at the chlorophyll chart you’ll see the peak bands. Let me see if I can grab one.

Give it some time and see what happens. I have a ton of zoas and they (as a whole) have never been better that when I decided to go to mostly blue. I have all kessils so even at max blue, I'm sure my light is slightly whiter than what your describing. But this was the single change that has had the largest effect on my zoas. There was always a colony here and a colony there having issues for no apparent reason. This was literally a magic button for all my tanks. I started with a frag tank on the system, and after a couple weeks changed another frag tank, then my main tank. Now all of them.
