Hey guys this is my first post on this website and I need help with my set up. I recently switched from a regular fluorescent light to a new coral life light (Link lower down). I left the light on for about four hours and then turned it off for the night. When I woke up the tank water was cloudy and difficult to see through. I am not sure if the change in lighting caused a bacteria spike overnight or what happened.
Here is a pic of the tank now:

First off, welcome to R2R.

How long has the tank been setup? And provide details of what you have.....skimmer, reactors, sump, etc.?

Now let's get some more eye on this..... #reefsquad

The tank has been set up for about three weeks now. I have had a lee's medium protein skimmer running for about a week now. The only other equipment I have is a powerhead and a hang on the back filter that have been both running since set up with no issue.

All the water parameters look normal and I just wanted to make sure nothing drastic was going on in my tank.

The light itself wouldn't. Did you add a lot of new bioload like a lot of fish at once or was there something the died? Are you add supplements like calcium, Alk? Oh and welcome! You've come to the right place!

Nothing died to my knowledge but I can't see into the tank that well. I am not currently adding any kind of supplements. Three days ago I added a piece of live rock into the tank with some small corals on it but I don't think it had much of an impact on water quality. Also thank you both for being so welcoming!
