All, I have a 90 Gallon tank, 36" wide. I had a old T5 lighting system and things were great, no idea as it was a gift from a aquarium guy. I bought a LED System and it was too bright and created bad algae blooms, I switched to a Deep Blue 21w - Daylight 10kr and a Corallife Actinic 12v F21-T5 BP and i believe they might be for plant life .. is what i have for lighting ok? what is recommended?

What are you going to keep?
Fish don’t care, corals do......if you plan corals maybe these lights support some softies, I mean your using about 42 watts on a 36” when I would be using 150-200 watts.

So it comes down to what are you going to keep.

Depending what you're planning on keeping in your tank. I personally have not used any t5 like those. Usually use HO T5. Their websites suggested for corals, but IMO, I doubt those can support coral growth with such a low wattage.

i dont have corals, i have live rock, and live sand. I will check on some T5HO's
