Hi All

i currently am running a standard 4x2 tank with 2x Kessils a360WE and 2 t5 lights (2x acitinic t5 bulbs)

Everything seems to be doing fine and the growth looks ok.

Do you think i need to swap a bulb out for something different for a broader spectrum of light?

I'm a big fan of the KISS method to reefing. If everything is working now, why change it? I've gotten into a lot of hot water changing my spectrum around only to fry a prized coral or made something in the tank angry. I personally wouldn't touch a thing if everything is happy.

Do you have pic of tank to show how it looks currently?

here you go :)

Your lighting is broad when you include the T5.
When everything is FINE, leave it alone!
Corals really hate change, especially light.

Well i personally dont like all blue tanks. I only turn mine to blue for the last hour of viewing my tank.

Im more concerned with growth and im not sitting by my tank 90% of the time. I recently changed my lighting.

I found old t5 normal output fixtures i had and added them but with 6500k bulbs. And i also added my full spectrum LEDS which i use to use on this tank when i had freshwater.plants. they are 10k leds with some actinic. Green reds.

Added a TON of white to my tank. Probably more then youd like but i have around 150+ par more based on par readings taken by ppl from my leds and also have FULL spectrum of colors from the 6500k and 10k leds.

My 4bulb T5 fixture is two blue plus and two coral plus. Though before i did this change. I had no actinic two coral plus was to get more reds in the tank. Corals dont live on all blue light in the oceon so why would we use all blues in our tanks. I just dont get the whole fad over that.. other then to make corals POP.

Here are 3 pics of how my tank looked from original. To just the 6500k added to the 6500k and led. And if i want glowy i just turn all my lights off and flip a switch on my leds to blues only. Its amazing what just 12 460nm actinic leds can do to a 135g. I realize the 2nd to last pic isnt pretty but it sure gives more par.

As for you. Id probly swap the actinic for coral plus bulbs if you want a more fuller spectrum. Just note they are pink bukbs so yoir tank may look more purple
