I am in the early stages of setting up a frag tank. I have acquired a Deepblue 60 gallon, 48 x 24 x 12. I have had a nearly new Reefbreeder 48" sitting in my closet for over a year so I plan on using that for this project. Is anyone running a similar setup and if so what kind of schedule are you running?

I imagine I will need to get my hands on a par meter to not cook the coral, but would love a general idea to get me in the ballpark initially. I will be doing a build thread once I get started. I'm big into diy and have a wood shop so I plan to get a bit fancy on the stand and a elevated canopy to contain light spill.

Thanks
David

I've finished the stand and I'm the process of planning the plumbing and controller mounting. The other stand is for a friend that gives me nice frags from time to time.

I had to build a pole barn on our farm over the last few weekends so this went to the back burner.

Sump is in place and the tank is on. The sump is from a Red Sea 750 xxl that had an incident while being moved. It is a tight fit but will provide ample room for equipment and increased water volume.

We are leaving on a cruise Thursday so no more updates. When I get back I will start plumbing, electronics mounting, and aquascape. I'm ready to get it filled and cycling.

I believe it would have to be 16-18” above the water unless you replace or remove the lens
