lighting input please!

so im going to buy bulbs today and i just wanted a little last min input from the masters on the site, i have 2 MH 14k pheonix 250w and im suplimenting in 4 t5 bulbs. im going with this combo 2 ATI blue+, 1 KZ fiji purple, and one UV superactinic. these will be on for 12 hours while the MH will be on for 6. thanks for the advice :nerd:

Gotta say it LED with the fiji purple rock.

Ditch the MH and save $

If you want MH I'd go radiums.

thanks for your thoughts bayreefer!! i have the metal halides already lol i love them i just want the corals to get some more light and i also want some more color pop! i also have put all the money into ballast and wiring and such so to late to turn back. thanks for the opinion wld1783, whats the diference between 14k pheonix and radium? im ordering the lights by about 2 so quick input on t5 combo would be great!

I used the Radiums and found with the right ballast they produce the best colour. I have not used the pheonix but only hear good things about radiums and ushio bulbs.

Did you go with the T5 bulb combo you were planning to get? If you can, show us some pics when you get them in place. I'm planning pretty much the same MH/T5 bulb combo for my new tank.

Yep, thats a great combo there. Good job on picking bulb's. I know thats not the true color up there but i know what it looks like : )

ya ill try to get a better pic lol one of the ATI blue plus bulbs was broken appon arrival so i should be getting a replacement soon. for now im just using my crappy oddysea 03 actinic lol. the color pop is still impressive tho, it makes the 14k pheonix look white lol
