How do you determine how much lighting to provide your tank? i imagine that MOST people don't take PAR readings for their tank... I only have low light corals (Softies and LPS), and i only turn up the light to whatever seems to make the corals open and be happy... but i have no idea if going off a coral's apperance is enough. I just usally only have 50% blue lights and 25% white lights

I'm also trying to minimize white lighting, or maybe even run them at 0% since i seem to be having some algae blooms on the sand. Corals are currently still happy and fully open.

I basically start as low as I 'feel' is on the lower end of intensities that coral may like, and then slowly ramp it up over time and just watch how the corals react to the light. XD
