Hey guys and girls,

Before I pull the trigger (budget is tight.) I'm wanting to know what to choose.

I'd like a Evergrow IT5060 (good size for my tank 3 by 2).

But I am also looking at these chinese leds e.g. MarsAqua etc, I am looking at the WiFi version of these leds with the upgraded fans and 1 power cord.

I've heard good reviews, also looked through the dedicated thread for these lights also the mod ability as they are cheap I don't mind fiddling about with them, unlike the more expensive leds.

I'd like to save money, but I know lighting is important.

I'd save £100+ if I went for the chinese leds (i need 2 blackboxes)

But on the other hand I'd get a nice light and a bit more control?

I'm wanting a mixed reef, starting with LPS and a nem for a few years, before i upgrade the tank.

What would you go for and why?

Any input would be greatly received.

I've got the chinese black box leds, nothing wrong with them, and you set the color and forget it. I don't change up my lighting.

Thank you for the reply.

I'm wanting to try these chinese leds, I'm still a beginner so i think its the better option as i don't really know about 6 channels and all the different tweaking.

Still on the fence though.

Yea, its all on what ya want to do with the lighting. Mine is set it and forget it.
