Ok so is this lighting time length too much or not? My corals seem to love the length of time and have grown really well but is it really ok to be on this long?

Oh yeah... my violets follow same % as my whites. I'm actually only using 38% of my lights power and about 9 inches from waterline. AI Prime HD 16 lights

If you’re corals are happy, then no need to change. Don’t overthink the process, this is where people go wrong, thinking that a setting or number should be something other than what it is. Observation is your best friend in this hobby, it’s gaining the experience to make decisions based on these observations, which only comes with experience. My lighting schedule throughout the years has varied between 8-12hrs, but it all depends on what your light source you’re using and what animals you’re illuminating.
