Hey Folks,
When I started buying stuff I thought "I'll just got a bit bigger because it will fit the wall better". I did not realize the challenges that came with a 6' tank. Particularly around lighting.
I searched for a while and eventually found folks swearing by Reef Breeder Photon V2s. I saw the images folks had of their tanks with those and I was just blown away. The control, the quality etc etc.
Well, that was it; that is what I was going to put on my tank. The issue was; there were no 6' lights or light kits from them. So I emailed them through the website and the owner actually got in touch with me. He recommended using 2 32" lights from them; but they didn't have a kit to connect them together well for a 6' tank....until now.
The owner (Logan) decided to just solve that problem and designed a kit which he shipped to me to try out on my tank. The kit essentially is 2 T-Tracks and some hardware to fit on the bolts.
There were a few tricks to installation; such as I super glued the screws/hardware into place so they wouldn't slide while attaching the T-Track.
What I like about it is that it is that it keeps the lighting display sleek without having to add a canopy (my wife did not want a canopy). The track also assists in hiding the wiring, which I ran off to one side and zip tied to the leg.
So here are some pictures....The kit should be available soon through their website from my understanding.
