I've been debating here with myself for quite some time now what to light my 75 gallon dt.. t5ho.... or led..

My first thought was maybe do 2 mars aquas with 2 t5 retros..

Then I thought since my 20 gallon is doing so well with 4 t5ho ati bulbs should I just get a 4 bulb t5ho and run that.

2 mars aqua runs me at 165 watts per 37.5 gallons. That's 4.4 watts per gallon..

T5ho
54w x 4 is 216 watts which leaves me at 2.88 Watts per gallon....

I can't run a 6 bulb as my C2C overflow will cut off approximately a bulb and half. Which then becomes a waste.

So I ask r2r what do you recommend.
I'm not rich I'm trying to find average priced lighting.

I'm not a lighting expert so idk how led work all that much due to par.. I watched videos and read.. I'm at a loss. Buddy has the Mars overs his 55 and 90 both tanks doing well and growth is good. But.. is there better. Option?

Thanks :)

Or maybe sbreef led. Going to check out a 65 gallon a guy has got. Maybe that'll convince me to get leds.

Looking for some input.

I have two Mars Aqua 165w over my 105g tank. Xenia, GSP tripled in size in just a couple months. Zoa's are doing great as well. Most of my stuff is near the bottom. I'd like to add two T5's down the road. For the price $185 for two I couldn't pass it up. But I do wish I spent a little more for the wifi controllable.. BUT I have mine plugged into a Revogi power strip with built in wifi and can turn on and off and set schedule with my phone.

Nice. Since my tank is still new and I set a budget for myself I'm going with 2 led black boxes. Seems the way to go. Bought one sbreef just now in another week or two I'll get myself another one. Then I can get a clear view of what I need to do to incorporate t5 to it all.. thanks for the input. Appreciate it and pictures to see as well.

I had a Current Orbit Marine Pro LED 48-60" in conjunction with a 2 bulb T5. Very bright and I could play with timing to tweak output at various times. I really liked the set up and had great coral growth. I had 2 blue plus ATI bulbs in the fixture.

I did change to two Kessils but it was way more expensive. Here are pics:
