I am in the process of building up a frag tank that
is a 50 gallon Rubbermaid stock tank on a stand.

I was looking at lighting and saw T-12 shop light
fixtures for about $10 for a 2 bulb fixture.

(When I got into this 20+ years ago all that were around were T12)

So for $50 I can make a fixture that will be 10 bulbs and if it really dosen't
work out I can take it apart and use the fixtures other places in my shop.

I was planning to go with all Mid Day bulbs (Full Spectrum), or possibly 8 mid days
and two actinic, but it is my undersatnding that the actinic are for aesthetic only.
(Am I correct, or are actenics really needed?)

I plan on eventually rebuilding the light over my 180,
I may put the old T5 light over the frag tank then.

Any thoughts?

Thank you
